The Difference between Scientific Theories and Scientific Laws

Science covers a vast explanation of scientific theories and scientific laws. It is the organization of knowledge based on the results of tests and experiments. The prediction of anything related to the universe and the possible phenomenon that may happen in the future are all science-related. Scientists can have many explanations related to science because they usually conduct research in order to prove something. They usually come up with many scientific theories and laws as well.

Scientific Theory. With the help of the scientific method, scientists can come up with different theories. These theories can be repeatedly tested and the result is based on the scientific method. If the result matches with the theory that was made, then the theory can be well-explained based on the evidence.

Any observation must be accurate so that the scientific theory that was made don’t need any modification. Actually, any scientific theory can result to false predictions. However, these theories becomes the foundation or tool in order to develop a higher technology for men’s convenience. An example of the scientific theory is the Atomic Theory.

Scientific Law. Any phenomenon that will happen based on a cause and effect is a scientific law. Any scientific law is based on evidence just like the scientific theory. In any science we study, we usually encounter scientific laws. A famous example of it is the Newton’s Law or the Law of Gravitation.
